FOR STREAMERS Set up your streamer account
Open the STEN streamer app at app.streamearningsnetwork.com/streamer. Follow its Twitch sign-in and account setup. Confirm that the Twitch account is the channel you want to use, then check the receiving wallet address carefully. STEN does not need your wallet recovery phrase or private key.
Use the donation link supplied for your streamer profile. This is the public link viewers need; your private overlay URL is a different link and should not be published. Open the public link yourself and check that it identifies the correct streamer before sharing it.
Complete the overlay setup and send a test alert before your first stream. If a wallet blocks the app or shows a security warning, pause and follow the wallet warning guide. Do not work around the warning to finish setup.
FOR STREAMERS Add your overlay in OBS and test it
In your STEN account, use the overlay setup guide and copy your private overlay URL. In OBS Studio, select the scene where alerts should appear, add a Browser source and paste that URL. Use the dimensions specified in the setup guide; match the source to your intended stream layout. Keep any custom CSS at its default unless you are deliberately styling the overlay.
Place the browser source above the content that should sit behind your alert. Make sure the source is visible. Return to STEN and send a test alert, then watch the OBS preview. Check position, text, duration and any configured audio. A test alert checks presentation; it is not a blockchain payment.
Keep the overlay URL private. If the alert does not appear, inspect source visibility, the URL and the connection before changing wallet settings. The troubleshooting guide separates overlay problems from payment results.
FOR STREAMERS Make the alert fit your stream
Start with the alert options available in your STEN account. Choose the theme or media supplied by the app, adjust the available settings and use its preview or test alert. Use only media you have permission to broadcast. Available controls depend on the current app version; this guide does not promise a particular editor, file format or effect.
Check the result in your real OBS scene, not only in the app preview. Keep the contributor name and message readable against your stream content. Leave enough space for longer names and messages, and confirm that the alert does not cover essential gameplay or camera details.
Save your settings and repeat the test after moving or resizing the browser source. The notification depends on the active overlay as well as the STEN software. A successful presentation test does not verify a payment or guarantee that every message will be shown without moderation or shortening.
FOR VIEWERS Set up Phantom or Solflare
Phantom and Solflare are the wallet options discussed for STEN. Start at the provider's official website: phantom.com or solflare.com. Follow its download and setup instructions for your device. Avoid links sent in unsolicited direct messages or adverts pretending to be support.
Keep the wallet's recovery information private and follow the provider's backup instructions. Never enter a recovery phrase into STEN, a support form or a Discord conversation. Check that you are using Solana before receiving funds intended for a STEN donation.
Open the correct streamer's donation link and choose the wallet connection offered by the app. Connecting a wallet is not the same as approving a payment. Review any later transaction separately. If you see a warning about the app or transaction, stop and read wallet warnings; these providers are wallet options, not evidence that they have endorsed STEN.
FOR VIEWERS Get SOL and leave enough for network costs
You can receive SOL into your Solana wallet from another wallet or obtain it through a provider available to you. Before using a purchase or withdrawal service, check its identity requirements, fees, supported network and local availability. STEN's direct donation flow is not a promise of an integrated card purchase or automatic currency conversion.
Check the destination address and choose the Solana network when transferring funds to your wallet. Review the final amount you will receive. A purchase, exchange or withdrawal may have its own cost outside STEN's platform fee.
Keep some SOL available for network charges, including when you donate STEN tokens. Solana fees can include a base fee and a priority fee. Creating a required token account can also need a separate SOL storage balance. Read the app and wallet's cost breakdown before approving; there is no fixed eurocent ceiling or universal funding amount in this guide.
FOR EVERYONE Solana (SOL) or STEN coins: choose the donation asset
STEN is the name of the platform and also the name of its Solana token. SOL is Solana's native asset. The agreed donation options are SOL and STEN. Using STEN software does not mean a viewer must first buy STEN tokens when they can use the available SOL route.
Select the asset in the donation interface and read the denomination before entering an amount. A number of SOL and the same number of STEN do not represent the same value. Their market values can change, and the amount a streamer might later receive in euros depends on any subsequent conversion and its costs.
For STEN tokens, verify the official token identity rather than relying on a name or icon alone. Ask the team if the correct mint address is unclear. Keep SOL for network charges with either choice. The standard 97/3 split applies to the selected donated asset, with network costs considered separately.
FOR VIEWERS Make your first donation
Use the donation link shared by the streamer you intend to support. Check their identity, choose SOL or STEN and enter your amount and optional message in the STEN interface. Check the standard allocation: 97% of the donated token amount for the streamer and 3% for STEN, with network charges separate.
STEN prepares an unsigned transaction proposal. Your wallet shows the approval request. Check the asset, recipients, amounts and costs; approve only if you understand them. The wallet signs and sends the approved transaction, and Solana processes it. To change your amount or message, decline or close the proposal and edit them in STEN before requesting a new one.
Afterwards, check the transaction result. STEN uses confirmation to trigger the alert, which also needs an active streamer overlay. An absent alert does not prove the payment failed. Check the transaction before trying again, so you do not send a second donation unintentionally.
FOR EVERYONE Check a donation on Solana
A Solana transaction has a public signature, often shown as a transaction ID. Use the explorer link supplied by the app or wallet where available. Check the network and look at the transaction's status before treating it as successful. A pending submission is not the same as a confirmed transfer.
Inspect the transferred asset, amounts and receiving addresses. A token transfer can involve token-account addresses, so contact the team if you cannot interpret the displayed recipients. Keep the signature when requesting help; it is more useful than sending a screenshot that hides the transaction result.
On-chain data is public and may include addresses, transfers and any message written into the transaction. That visibility does not disclose every user's identity or prove the whole application is safe. The alert is a separate software result: a confirmed donation may require overlay troubleshooting even when its transfer is already visible. See the product whitepaper for the role breakdown.
FOR EVERYONE Understand the 97/3 split and other costs
The standard STEN model allocates 97% of the donated token amount to the streamer and 3% to the platform. For example, a donation amount of 100 STEN gives 97 STEN to the streamer and 3 STEN to STEN. This is an illustration of the model, not a recorded payment or a statement of euro value.
Solana network fees are separate and paid in SOL. If a required token account must be created, a separate storage balance can also be needed. Review who pays these amounts and the app and wallet breakdown before approving. Do not assume the 3% covers every SOL deduction.
Buying crypto, exchanging assets, withdrawing from another provider or later converting to euros can introduce additional charges. The direct SOL/STEN route does not require an automatic swap inside STEN, but external costs remain possible. Read the fees page for the full distinction. No unconfirmed introductory discount is included here.
FOR EVERYONE Messages, length limits and privacy
Write your message in the STEN donation interface before requesting wallet approval. Keep it suitable for a public stream and avoid phone numbers, addresses, passwords or other personal information. The streamer controls their presentation, and a message on stream should not be treated as a private conversation.
Read the current app's message limit and any shortening notice before submitting. Stream text and on-chain text may have different limits. Emoji and other Unicode characters can affect how a system counts or shortens text; this guide does not prescribe unverified character limits.
Where text is written on-chain, it becomes public transaction data. STEN cannot simply remove that text from the blockchain afterwards. Check what the app says will be stored before approval; if this is unclear, stop and ask. Changing an alert's display is different from changing an already published on-chain record. Use the privacy page and private email support for questions involving personal data.
FOR EVERYONE A donation or alert did not work
First identify which step failed: opening the streamer link, connecting the wallet, approving, network processing or displaying the alert. Check that the intended wallet and Solana network are selected and that the wallet has the donation asset plus sufficient SOL for the costs shown. Do not guess a minimum donation or keep retrying without feedback.
If you approved a transaction, look for its signature and result in the wallet before sending again. A confirmed transfer and a missing alert are different problems. For an alert issue, the streamer should check the OBS browser source, private overlay URL, visibility and connection, then send a presentation test.
Record the time, device, browser, wallet, selected asset and exact error. Send that information and any public transaction signature to info@streamearningsnetwork.com. Redact sensitive screenshots and overlay URLs. Never share recovery information. Stop rather than retry if the wallet displays a safety warning.
FOR EVERYONE What to do when your wallet warns you
If Phantom, Solflare or another wallet blocks the app or warns that a transaction could be unsafe, stop. Do not bypass the warning to complete a donation. New-domain notices, unfamiliar-token notices and transaction-simulation warnings are different issues; a general claim that every warning is harmless would be misleading.
Check the website address and capture the exact warning text without exposing wallet recovery information. Contact STEN with the URL, device, wallet and time. The team needs to identify the specific issue and confirm its current status. A smaller payment does not establish that the connection is safe.
A Phantom warning concerning the STEN app has previously been reported. Ask about its current resolution before proceeding if it appears. Installing a different wallet is not a substitute for understanding the warning. Phantom explains the categories in its official domain and transaction warning documentation. A wallet connection or Twitch login is not a security approval.
